![]() This chip, sent to the University of Heidelberg, is now used at Heidelberg for advanced ultra-cold atom experiments analyzing atom-surface interaction, as part of fundamental quantum optics research which also may assist future applications such as ultra-sensitive sensors (interferometers) and the realization of quantum communication (e.g. quantum memory) and a quantum computer (see Science 319, 1226 (2208)). |
