The Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research at the Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research (BIDR), Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), invites applications with background in some of the following disciplines: material science (materials synthesis and characterization in organic or inorganic chemistry), chemical engineering or chemistry for a tenure track faculty positions in the Department of Desalination and Water Treatment.
Priority will be given to candidates with background in one or more of the following: Process development for brackish, surface, groundwater, seawater and waste treatment; materials science or engineering that could lead to development of novel water treatment media (such as membranes
and adsorbents); surface science and physical chemistry of scaling, fouling and biofouling phenomena and their prevention; electrochemical phenomena and processes, modeling; adaptation of novel methods in membrane studies, membrane catalysis.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree and have appropriate post-doctoral or faculty experience and demonstrate research productivity. |
